Landscaping trees

We all know that landscaping trees dominate our landscapes. The known fact is that they are not only filling and decorating empty spaces, but also form the overall theme of our surroundings.
Depending from the region we may meet two kinds of trees - alien and native trees. Native trees have a lot of advantages, like the tolerance to the native weather conditions, pest populations and the ability to provide food and shelter for various small mammals and birds.

All landscaping trees may be divided for different purposes into three main categories. These are canopy trees, ornamental trees, and evergreen trees. Canopy landscaping trees, whose second name is shade trees aimed to provide shade in summer, are usually planted at streets. You can see them arranged in rows to reinforce the edges of corridors that were created by the streets and to provide consistent shades to the pedestrians. Many canopy trees develop good fall color. Among them are: red maple, sugar maple, paper birch, white ash and red oak trees. Ornamental trees are also called flowering trees from time to time. Their most popular specimen such as hawthorn, crabapple, tree lilac, serviceberry, and redbud, often reach a height of twenty to thirty feet and are mostly treasured for their seasonal color, form, and humanizing scale. These trees usually frame building entrances and portals and soften building corners. However their small size makes them suitable for any yard. They do their best under full sun and in moist soil. Evergreen trees (or evergreens) are usually planted in campuses. The big drawback of such landscaping trees is their fast growing density. That is why they are mostly planted sparingly. It is even recommended that the use of evergreen landscaping trees must be limited to appropriate areas. But if the areas do not pose a security issue and the massing of the trees there is minimal the evergreens planting is allowed. The big plus of such trees is that evergreens protect your private or public property from wind and snow and provide year-round shade. Between the most popular species suitable for growing are: balsam air, white spruce, red pine, white pine and white cedar.

There really are a lot of benefits to planting landscaping trees and various shrubs in your backyard or garden. Not only that they provide shade (we were talking about that already), but they also keep your home much cooler in the hot summer months, provide good privacy for your home and they look aesthetically great. If you have decided to properly plant and maintain your landscaping trees and shrubs all by yourself and you want them to grow and flourish then you have to be prepared for everything. I suggest you to read more information you can find in bookstores and over the internet and not to forget to consult a pro. And I am absolutely sure that in nearest future your well-planned yard will contain at least one flowering landscape tree or one evergreen tree, or at least a canopy tree of exceptional beauty.
